Staff writer | GDCS 20 Oct, Kochi A Saudi soldier, who became wheelchair bound after being shot in the head, is now able to walk following his treatment at an alternative medicine centre in India. Ayub Sheikh (name changed) who is admitted to the Vaidya Health Care Centre in Kochi, had been put under Ayurvedic therapies, very effective in cases of nerve-related damage. The lead doctor at the centre, Dr. Kiran B , says the improvement has come in the 45 days of Ayub’s stay at the centre. A bullet had penetrated Ayub’s skull in a case of an accidental firing by a colleague while in the Saudi. He was then 28 years old. Ayub was taken for an emergency procedure immediately after, which helped save his life. However, he came out of surgery left limbs badly affected. Later, he went to the US for his treatment.
